Here we are then! In just over an hour Sarah and I will set off with our cycling buddies on our Bristol to Paris bike ride adventure. I have been awake since 4 am and the butterflies in my stomach are having a great time!
Last night we packed and repacked, and we diligently cleaned and lubricated our chains (just like Jerry told us to). We have our spare inner tubes, puncture repair kits and the like – but we hope that we won’t need to use them because we haven’t had a lot of practice on these practical things.
Now, breakfast, some last minute checks and we will be on our way. Hope to keep you posted but for now – wish us luck!!
