Inbetweenie

The word inbetweenie reminds me of an old friend, Chris, who sadly died many years ago when he was far too young.

Chris was around when we were adults but not grown ups. It was pre-children and responsibilities when we were free to go out to the pub (remember them) just because we could.

Compared to Chris, everyone was a lightweight when it came to drinking. So between rounds he would have an ‘inbetweenie’, an extra beer, while we caught up with him…

This blog post is an inbetweenie. I have just noticed that I’ve missed a post, must have been the excitement of another lockdown, starting work after the holidays or something else.

Who knows? But now I’ve caught up and the gap is filled.
