Last Night

It doesn’t happen often but I couldn’t get to sleep last night.

I eventually drifted off more than two hours after I’d gone to bed. It was puzzling.

I’d moved plenty during the day, walking for 90 minutes. But I wasn’t overtired.

I hadn’t eaten late or had any caffeine (or alcohol) close to bedtime.

But. Last night I did spend an hour on my phone before turning out the light.

TikTok can be very addictive…

I know I shouldn’t do it, it’s crept in as a habit over the holidays. But work re-starts on Monday so I won’t have the luxury of an extra hour in the mornings.

So I’ve initiated my master plan.

It has three parts:

1) Reduce my screen time limit setting for TikTok and Instagram.
2) Set my Downtime to start at 9pm.
3) I have a new novel so I’ll read for 20 minutes in bed, instead of using my phone.

Let’s see if that works.
